Boatsetter

What it is
Peer-to-peer boat rental marketplace, owner side — their own why-list page: listing is free, you set pricing and availability, choose who operates your boat (yourself, the renter, or a captain from their USCG-certified network), and are paid within three days of a completed booking. THE PROTECTION STORY IS THE PROVIDER'S PROMISE, NOT OUR VERIFICATION, and not a substitute for your own insurance: they call themselves 'the only insured peer-to-peer boat rental marketplace in the US', in partnership with Buoy — and their own eligibility rules REQUIRE you to hold a personal recreational policy to be approved. Renter age floors from their FAQ: 18 for captained charters, 25 for bareboat
What you need
their own approval article, read this round at the migrated help centre: vessel information (make/model/year/length), Hull Identification Number, boat registration number, vessel address, at least four photos showing all sides, and personal or recreational insurance coverage. Buoy peer-to-peer eligibility tiers, their words: 0-22 ft up to 10 years old (1 engine, max 350 HP); 23-32 ft up to 15 years (2 engines, max 600 HP); 33-89 ft up to 30 years; boats over 33 ft require a USCG-licensed captain at the helm during charters
How you get paid
Per rental — their own fee policy: 'You'll earn between 65% and 88.5% of the list price depending on your boat and insurance plan.' Paid by direct deposit within three days of a completed booking
Worker costs
Their fee policy, read this round: owner payout is 65% to 88.5% of the list price (the spread depends on your boat and insurance plan); a payment-processing fee of 3.0% + $0.15 per charge applies; and 'rental or commercial service fees and commissions are subject to change at any time' — their own words. Listing itself is free
